I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
